Her controversy started when her mom and step-dad were ambushed in their own home. According to the news, Dina and her husband, David, walked into a house invasion. The couple was shaken up from the trauma, as David suffered a broken nose and other injuries to the face, while Dina was treated for several facial injuries.
It was then a costar Jin Marchese tweeted nothing good ever comes out of RHONJ, and in the end, the devil comes for his dues. Soon after that, Dina’s daughter came defending her mom. She went furious at Jim and re-tweeted that, he was a filthy human-being, and he must grow a heart & have some compassion.

Jim’s wife, Amber, entered the quarrel and tried mediating the situation, but it got worse. Later on, Jim had to clarify his statement. Amber re-tweeted a few more times before giving up.
