Just like all his closers, Bill’s Netflix special Paper Tiger was as good as it can be. It was released on Netflix on the 10th of September 2019. But end credits of the special weren’t the one he initially planned for. The closure was meant to be a gag about Lola being born and all the responsibilities he had to do being a father. However, Bill was conscious enough, and he canceled it out at the last minute, realizing that his grown-up daughter might see it insulting in the future.
During an interview, Bill told The Wrap,
“I had a different closer for this hour almost right until the night we taped. I called an audible because the joke was about my daughter being born and me feeling some crazy feelings, and I just thought it would hurt her feelings if she ever saw it.”
In the past, obviously before his marriage, the comedian has made a lot of jokes regarding marriages and the problems that come with it in his stand-up comedies.
Fortunately, after meeting his lovely wife Nia and tieing the knot, Bill’s point of view of the typical stereotypical married guy changed forever. Everything just went against his preachings and is certainly a big leap for someone who was so anti-marriage all his life.
