Afterward, Connor joined the University of Iowa in 2018 and continued to excel in his career, and graduated with the team’s Academic Excellence Award in five seasons (2017-2022).
After Beating Cancer, Patrick Became An Athlete
Marit Mccaffery’s second brother, Patrick McCaffery, was born on 20 March 2000. In 2014, he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer at the age of 14. He got his thyroid tumor removed after finding it to be cancerous. Moreover, Fran McCaffery’s son is now healthy and is one of the best players on his team.
Furthermore, Patrick became the all-time leading scorer in his high school, Iowa City West High School. He is highly involved with the university’s basketball team. He entered his junior season, having scored in double figures twenty-seven times. Additionally, the outstanding player was granted retired uniform #22 in honor of Austin “Flash” Schroeder. Besides, he and Connor run a podcast called T’D Up with Connor and Patrick.

On the other hand, Marit McCaffer’s younger brother, Johnathan McCaffery, is also into basketball and is one of the rising players. He is currently demonstrating his talents while attending Iowa City West High School.
