In July 2016, the comedian filed for divorce from Nikki after being married for nine years. He cited irreconcilable differences in the document, and they also had a prenuptial agreement that mentioned the terms of spousal support. Additionally, Meredith’s dad asked for his sole physical custody, claiming that his mom had a serious ongoing drug issue compromising her ability to care for him.
However, Meredith and Jackson’s father called off the divorce six days later. Then, in December 2016, he filed for divorce for the second time and requested joint legal and physical custody of Meredith. The actor again called off the divorce and filed for the third time in March 2017. This time, he requested the sole physical custody of their son.
Furthermore, the stand-up comedian also asked for joint legal custody with Cox getting reasonable visitation with their kid, and the visitation must be professionally monitored. The former couple might have settled their differences now. Meredith spends most of the time with his dad, and both of them are seen having a lot of fun together.
