John Paxson, born John MacBeth Paxson, is a basketball administrator and former player from America. He previously served as the vice president of basketball operations for the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association. Before that, he served as the general manager of the team. As one of the successful sports personalities, John also leads a happy family life.
A happily married guy, Paxson is a proud dad of two sons, and they both have grown up. Many basketball fans are curious to know what the boys are up to. So, in today’s article, let’s know in detail about John Paxson’s children and their whereabouts.
The Paxson Siblings
As mentioned earlier, John is a family guy, and he spends adequate time with his spouse and kids. He shares a blissful marital life with Carolyn Paxson. In all these years of being together, the couple have welcomed two children. Among John Paxson’s sons, Ryan Paxson is the eldest, who was born in 1986.
Drew Paxson is the youngest, but his birth details have not been revealed yet. Nonetheless, the Paxson siblings must have had a wonderful time growing up together. Hopefully, they will soon reveal more about their childhood in the coming days.
Ryan Is In The Marines
As the kids of a sports personality, many might be wondering if John Paxson’s children have followed in his footsteps. However, in the case of Ryan, he seems to have made a different career for himself.
Ryan attended Lake Forest High School. Then, he went to Olivet Nazarene University, where he was a basketball athlete. When he was in his third year playing college basketball, he gave his mother a four-page letter that explained why he wanted to join Army. However, Ryan did not say anything to his dad for a month. Then, in August 2008, he went to boot camp and became a Marine in November of that same year. In April 2009, he was stationed in Quantico, Virginia, for two years.
Then, John Paxson’s son was stationed in Afghanistan for nine months. In January 2013, he began working as a security manager/trip security officer at the White House Military Office. In January 2016, he began serving as a senior drill instructor at United States Marine Corps and was stationed in Parris Island, South Carolina. Later, in June 2019, he was promoted to Operations Chief Provost Marshal’s Office.

Likewise, in August 2021, Ryan was again stationed at Quantico, Virginia, where he began serving as a Sergeant Instructor. He seems to be earning significantly from his profession. Likewise, Ryan Paxson’s parents must be incredibly proud of what he has accomplished so far.

Drew Prefers To Live A Life Away From The Limelight
While Ryan has been shining in the limelight for his involvement in Marines, Drew prefers to live a low-key life. He is not active on social media and rarely makes any appearances at public events.
From what we could gather, John Paxson’s youngest son, Drew attended Ripon College. In the 2012-13 season, he served as a student assistant coach at the college. Currently, he is a Business Operations Assistant at Chicago Bulls. Furthermore, as per Basketball Forum, he organizes several fundraisers for Camouflage Kids. It is an organization that helps to provide support for military families through sports.
The Indiana-based non-profit organization serves military families by providing tickets to college athletic events for their kids. In addition, it also provides a chance to visit the college campus and meet with athletes, coaches, and administrators. Founded in 2005, Camo Kids donated 3,300 tickets, as of July 2009, to military families at 22 universities. Well, the number might have risen by now.
Nonetheless, Drew seems to be doing well. Unfortunately, talking about the relationship status of John Paxson’s children, it seems to be a mystery. Let’s hope they will reveal it soon.
All in all, John Paxson’s kids seem to be doing well. We hope they come at ease to open up more about themselves in the coming days. Hopefully, they will continue gaining success in their respective careers and make their parents proud.
