Roy Williams is a former collegiate basketball coach who worked for the North Carolina Tar Heels and Kansas Jayhawks for several years. Williams, whose full name is Roy Allen-Theodore Williams, retired after forty-eight years as a coach in 2021.

The lovers graduated in 1972, and later got married to each other in 1973. Then Roy and Wanda welcomed two children, a daughter named, Kimberly Williams and a son named Scott Williams.

Roy’s Son Also Played Basketball
Scott Williams is the only son and the eldest child of Roy Williams and Wanda Williams. He finished his high school studies at Lawrence High School and graduated from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor’s degree in business.
Just like his father, Scott also loved and played basketball. He played as a point guard from 1997 to 1999 at UNC. In addition, the eldest of Roy Williams’ children likely competed with his high school basketball team.
As for his personal life, Roy Williams’ son, Scott, is living a happily married life with Katie Wolford. He met his wife for the first time when they were both college students. Furthermore, Scott Williams’ wife, Katie, also attended UNC and was a member of the cheerleading team.
The couple has two children, both sons, together. They welcomed their eldest son, Aiden Williams in January 2010 and their youngest son, Court Williams in August 2011. The family of four has settled down in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Kimberly Williams is Roy’s only daughter. After completing her high school studies at Lawrence High School, she graduated from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor’s degree in English.
Kimberly wasn’t quite interested in any sports even though she is the daughter of a renowned basketball coach. Instead, she preferred dancing. Moreover, the retired coach’s little girl was a member of the Tar Heels dance team at Chapel Hill as long as she was in the town. Her love for dance influenced her to pursue a professional career in dance as well.
After her graduation from UNC, Roy Williams’ daughter started teaching dance at Jamie Masters School of Dance. She taught jazz, tap, hip-hop, and other dance styles to dancers of ages ranging from four to sixty years old at the school for 9 years. The dancer is now the owner of The Dance Spot in Huntersville, North Carolina.
As per Henderson County News, Kimberly is married to Kurt Newlin and currently goes by the name Kim Newlin. The couple has welcomed two children, Kayson Newlin and Kenzie Newlin together. Kimberly, much like her brother, seems to be a private person who likes to keep things to her own as not many details have been disclosed about her children.
