Dave Hakstol’s wife is the daughter of Tim O’Keefe, the CEO of North Dakota’s alumni association and foundation. Tim, who is a former UND defenseman, was a mover in the same circles as Dave. Additionally, Erinn works at the University of North Dakota as an adviser at the Gamma Phi Beta sorority.

From Losing Bet To Winning Heart

Furthermore, Dave Hakstol’s then-girlfriend revealed that she loved what he did, but she always believed that remaining an assistant won’t help him.

In addition, the married duo even established Dave and Erinn Hakstol Hockey Scholarship Endowment through the UND Foundation in March 2011. The gift leaves the family legacy at UND and supports the North Dakota spirit. Likewise, it also brings the men’s hockey program a step near endowing the program, including annual excellence funds, scholarships, and coaching positions.
