As mentioned earlier, Kate attended Boston University after graduating from Notre Dame Academy. In an interview, Kate Sullivan’s husband revealed that she knew she wanted to be a nurse right away. After receiving her nursing license, Mrs. Sullivan went on to work in a number of specialties.
Furthemore, Mike Sullivan’s wife, who is from Norwell, Massachusetts, even worked in oncology and pediatric medicine. Likewise, as per Fabwags, she worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth.
While her spouse went on to play 11 seasons for four different NHL franchises, Kate balanced her life in medicine with being a mom. After Kate’s hubby took the coaching job in Pittsburgh, she stepped away from nursing. Although she no longer practices, her profession as a nurse remains a part of her identity.
The Boston uni alumna is extremely lucky as she has got a supportive husband. As her mother-in-law, Myrna Sullivan, was also a nurse, her partner understands the selflessness and compassion of people who practice nursing. He is forever grateful to them and is extremely supportive of her.

A Doting Mother Of Three
It has been many years since Kate and Mike tied the knot. In all these years of being happily married, the Sullivan pair have welcomed three children together. Among Mike Sullivan’s children with Kate, Kaitlin Sullivan is the eldest, whom the couple received in 1992. She continued the family tradition and went to Boston College.
Currently, Kate’s daughter works as a yoga instructor and is happily married to her long-time boyfriend, Charlie Ackerman. Two years later, in 1994, Kate Sullivan’s son, Matthew Sullivan, aka Matt Sullivan, was born. Bowdoin College graduate Matt played collegiate hockey. He currently works as a Manager in pricing and packaging at Optimizely.
Kate Sullivan’s baby girl, Kiley Sullivan, is her youngest child, who arrived in April 1997. Following in her footsteps, she attended Boston University and has a degree in Bachelor of Science in Health Professions and Related Clinical Sciences.
Currently, she is enrolled at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Institute of Health Professions to become a registered nurse after earning her nursing license. Furthermore, Kiley is happily engaged to the Boston Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy.
