Being a descendent of the Hasbrouck family, Billy Donovan’s spouse is also known as Christine Hasbrouck. Christine was born to her mother, Patricia Ann Connor D’Auria, and her father, Anthony J. D’Auria.

Christine attended Providence College and later graduated from Long Island University’s C.W. Post Campus. She then worked as a fourth-grade teacher at the Green Vale School in Glen Head. Moreover, Mrs. Donovan also taught children in a local school in Lexington. But, it seems she isn’t working as an educator anymore.

Before Christine moved to Oklahoma City with her husband, she was involved in the charitable community in Gainesville, Florida. The coach’s wife led an effort to raise over $1 million to add ten classrooms to St. Francis Catholic High School in Florida. While in Oklahoma City, Billy Donovan’s wife created a Bible study group along with a dinner club to bring women together.

Married After A Year Of Dating

Billy and Christine lived 20 minutes apart on Long Island; however, they didn’t know each other at first. They both attended Providence College, had the same major, general social studies, and even had mutual friends. Yet, they were rarely together. Furthermore, Christine was a member of the Friars Club and loved going out. Meanwhile, Billy wasn’t as social and liked spending most of his time in the gym.

After they graduated from college, the pair happened to sit at the same table at the wedding of fellow Friars Club members in May 1988. After talking for a while, Billy asked Christine out, and they officially started dating. Being together as lovers for a little over a year, the duo got married on Long Island in August 1989.

Billy Donovan’s Wife Is A Mother Of Four

As the title suggests, Billy and Donovan share four children together. The couple welcomed their first son, William Connor Donovan III, on February 10, 1992. The duo’s daughter Hasbrouck Anne Donovan was born after two years.

Then, Bryan Donovan was born to the couple on January 6, 1997, as their third child and second son. After five years, in 2002, Christine gave birth to their youngest daughter, Connor Donovan.

Christine gave birth to a fifth child on November 2, 2000. Unfortunately, the baby was stillborn. The couple had named their fifth child Jacqueline Donovan.

Where Are The Couple’s Children Now?

The coach’s eldest son, William, played basketball for him at the University of Florida. Then, for a year, he worked as an assistant coach in the G-League for the San Antonio Spurs. The 30-year-old got married to Lauren Donovan in 2017 and served the Chicago Bulls as an assistant coach under his father.

Billy Donovan’s second child, Hasbrouck, lives in Gainesville, Florida. She did her Bachelor’s in Science, Family, Youth, and Community Sciences at the University of Florida. Moreover, Hasbrouck is also athletic and has won a national championship with the equestrian team at Auburn University. The eldest daughter of the coach is currently working at Orangetheory Fitness as a coach.

Christine and Billy Donovan’s third child, Bryan, also played basketball. He attended Bishop McGuinness High School and was a four-year basketball team member. He also underwent two knee surgeries during high school, which limited his playing career. Bryan attended Providence College but later transferred to Roger Williams University, where he continued his collegiate basketball career.

Connor Donovan, the youngest daughter of the NBA coach and his wife, attended Bishop McGuinness High School and graduated in 2020. She played volleyball and tennis during her high school days. As per her Facebook account, Connor is currently attending Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island.

The NBA coach’s all four children have grown and are doing well on their own. Without his kids around, the 56-year-old coach must feel lonely sometimes.
