June and Bob Huggins’ daughter, Jenna, is the WVU Athletics travel coordinator. Similarly, her other little girl, Jacque, is into fishing and is in a relationship with Billy Anderson.

The Huggins siblings must have had a wonderful time growing up together.

Attended Cosmetology School

After graduation, the high school sweethearts attended different colleges. June Huggins’ husband attended West Virginia University, where he continued his playing career.

Mrs. Huggins, on the other hand, had different plans. June Fillman attended business and cosmetology schools in Ohio.

After getting married in 1977, Bob Huggins’ wife worked in the concessions stand in the Coliseum.

After her hubby went to Ohio State as an assistant coach, June worked in insurance. Finally, Bob’s lovely spouse stopped working after giving birth to their two daughters.

It’s not that June had not occasionally thought of going back to work after becoming a mother. But, she revealed it was nice not to have to worry about getting up every day and being ready to go for the job.

Mrs. Huggins added that she could attend road games after quitting her work.

Bob Huggins’ Wife Has Been With Him Since the Start Of His Career

One is really fortunate if he gets to enjoy a blissful marital life and a successful professional career side by side. The head coach is one of those lucky people.

Bob was in high school when he met his future wife, June Fillman Huggins. By the time he was in college, he wanted to coach. After the couple got married, his coaching career started too.

But, Bob Huggins’ partner had zero idea how demanding the coaching job was. The couple had very little time to spend as he used to be home three nights a week during the season.

But with time, Bob Huggins’ spouse seems to have adjusted to the coaching lifestyle. She sees this as an opportunity to travel to different countries and places.

Bob’s wife is his number one supporter. Not only that, she occasionally bakes cookies for players, and a lot of them call her ‘Mom.’

Mrs. Huggins is a dog lover and even worked with an architect to design their first custom-built home.

On the other hand, Bob’s coaching career goes way back to 1977. He began as a graduate assistant at West Virginia and later coached for Cincinnati and Kansas State before joining West Virginia again as a head coach in 2007.

However, Bob Huggins’ reign in West Virginia came to an end after over 15 years. On June 16, 2023, Huggins was charged with DUI in Pittsburgh. Soon after, he announced his resignation.

Fans showed their mixed reactions to Bob’s resignation. Also, this wasn’t the only time Bob came under fire.

Earlier, he was suspended for three-game along with being docked his pay by $1 million for using a homophobic slur on the radio.
