As a junior, the Minnesota native averaged 16 points and eight rebounds, earning her recognition as a Class AAA All-State Honorable Mention. She was also named to the Prep Girls Report 2020 AAU All-Star Team.

After completing high school, the American national began her college-level basketball journey with UNLC Rebels. She averaged 11.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 51.2 percent from the field, earning her the Mountain West Conference Sixth Player of the Year voting title.

After a three-game run in which she scored 32 points and pulled down 15 rebounds off the bench, Obiazor was also chosen, along with teammates Essence Booker and Desi-Rae Young, to the Mountain West All-Tournament Team.
