French serial murderer Charles Gurumukh Sobhraj Hotchand Bhawani, famously known as Charles Sobhraj, was born on April 6, 1944. He preyed on Western tourists visiting South Asia in the 1970s on the hippie path. He was referred to as the Splitting Killer, the Serpent, and the Bikini Killer because of the clothing worn by several of his victims and his snake-like skill to avoid discovery by the police.

Charles has a baby girl named Usha Sobhraj, who he conceived with his first wife, Chantal Compagnon. She was Kidnapped As An Infant

Usha was born in 1970 in Mumbai, India, to the infamous serial killer Charles and his ex-wife Chantal. When she was around two years old, her father and mother were on the run from the Indian Police. Usha Sobhraj’s parents were caught Afghanistan-Iran border and were kept in prison in Kabul, Afghanistan. At the same time, she was sent to live with her maternal grandparents.

Furthermore, after fleeing from Afghanistan, Usha Sobhraj’s father kidnapped her by drugging her maternal grandparents. Soon after he abducted her, he smuggled her all the way to Iran and was eventually arrested.

Because of the kidnapping attempts and other violent acts that Sobhraj did, Usha Sobhraj’s mom was determined to keep her away from him. After Chantal was released from Afghanistan, she got custody of her daughter and relocated to the US.

Has Cut Ties With Her Birth Parents

Usha was only eight years old when she learned the truth about her biological dad. Reportedly, she has never expressed any interest in meeting him. In 1973, when Usha Sobhraj’s parents were arrested in Kabul, her mother met Leon Harris. The latter had gone to the women’s jail to visit a friend.

Seven months later, Leon and Chantal traveled to Paris to get Usha, who was staying with her grandparents following the arrest of her parents. In 1975, Chantal tied the knot with Leon, and the latter adopted Usha. The family of three then settled in Litchfield, Connecticut.

However, even after starting a new life with a new man, Usha Sobhraj’s mother maintained contact with her dad, Charles. As a result, she cut ties with her mom. She is reportedly eager to escape the specific aspect of her past, which prompted her to cut off both her parents.

In addition, Charles Sobhraj’s daughter has never talked to him and has had zero contact with him since she was a little kid. In an exclusive interview with DailyMail, Usha’s adopted father revealed that Usha has no interest in seeing her blood father, and the last thing she would do is talk about him.

What Is Charles Sobhraj’s Daughter Doing These Days?

There is a saying, the apple does not fall far from the tree. However, in the case of Usha and Charles, the quote does not seem to apply. Unlike her infamous serial killer father, Usha decided to better herself. Charles Sobhraj’s baby girl is an expert in law enforcement, intelligence, counter-terrorism, homeland security, and cyber security.

Usha, who goes by the name Usha Sutliff, went to Boston University and graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor’s degree in Communication. She even minored in Psychology. Talking about her current profession, she is the Senior Manager at Lafayette Group, a position she has been serving since December 2008.

Likewise, Usha is also the Principal Advisor at CNA Corporation. She is a consultant at Homeland Security Consulting and a specialist volunteer at Los Angeles Police Department. Prior to that, Usha Sobhraj’s kid worked at LA County District Attorney’s Office, Pasadena Police Activities League, GW Center for Cyber & Homeland Security, and others.

Usha Sobhraj Is Married With A Kid

Sutliff now leads a happy life in the USA with her own family. She is married to her husband, Jason Sutliff, a fire captain in San Marino, California. The couple has a daughter together. She has remained a low-key life and does not seem to be active on social media.

Usha declines to use social networking sites and seeks to distance herself from her past. The serpent’s daughter also declined to participate in an interview with the creators of the online series The Serpent, which is based on her father’s biography, for the same reason.
