Jane Marie Lynch, or Jane Lynch, is an American actress, comedian, and author. She is best known for her role as Sue Sylvester in the musical comedy series Glee, which won her a Primetime Emmy Award.

As per several sites, Lara Embry was born in 1969 to her parents, Dr. Bonnie M. Embry and Dr. Joseph Haden Embry, in Birmingham, Alabama. Both her mom and dad are doctors.

Jane Lynch’s former partner attended Birmingham City Schools and then Indian Springs School. After finishing her high school studies, she then went to Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts, and graduated with a BA in Philosophy in 1991. After that, Lara earned a master’s degree in philosophy in 1994 from Columbia University. Additionally, she also has a master’s degree and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Washington.

Jane Lynch’s Ex-Wife Is A Psychologist

Lara became interested in Psychology after studying Philosophy of Mind while attending Columbia University. She started working at Bellevue Hospital while pursuing her MA and found clinical psychology to be fascinating. She then decided to change her education course to Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology and attended graduate school at UW.

Lara worked with Carter Psychology Center in Bradenton, Florida, as a psychologist for six years. She has since then established a practice in her hometown, Birmingham. She specializes in therapy with young adults and couples who are having difficulties in coping. Moreover, Jane Lynch’s former partner is also a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alabama in Birmingham.

Has Two Lovely Daughters

Lara Embry is a doting and proud mother to her two beautiful kids, Chase Ryan-Embry and Haden Embry. She had her daughters while she was in a relationship with her former domestic partner, Kimberly Ryan. Both children were born through artificial insemination. While Chase was born to Kimberly on February 21, 2000, Lara gave birth to Haden on October 2, 2001.

A Washington court allowed Lara to adopt Chase; likewise, Kimberly was listed as a second parent to Haden. Lara Embry’s daughters have grown up to be gorgeous young ladies. Chase is currently 22 years old, studying at Smith College, and happily dating her girlfriend, Aidan Wright. Likewise, Haden, presently 20 years old, is an undergraduate student at Wesleyan University.

Fought In Court To See Her Daughter

Lara and Kimberly, who were registered as domestic partners, broke up in 2004, and for two years, they informally rotated custody and visitation arrangements of both the children. The latter left her homosexual lifestyle, became a Christian, and, unfortunately, discontinued the visiting plans with her biological daughter, Chase.

The Alabama native then demanded that a Florida court allow her to continue visiting her adopted daughter. But her petition was dismissed, saying that allowing her to have parental rights would violate the state’s Defense of Marriage Act prohibiting homosexual adoption.

Lara then took her case to the Second District Court of Appeal in Florida, arguing the U.S. Constitution requires the state to give her parental rights. Nonetheless, the court ruled in her favor, stating that her same-sex relationship with her former lesbian partner is irrelevant for the purpose of enforcing her rights and obligations as an adoptive parent.

Married To Jane Lynch For Four Years

Jane and Lara met in 2009 at a fundraiser in San Francisco at which the actress was the presenter, and the latter was being honored. After striking up a long-distance relationship for some time, the two got engaged. The ex-couple tied the knot on May 31, 2010, in a private ceremony in Sunderland.

However, the duo decided to split up in 2014 after staying together for four years. Well, the reason why they divorced has not been disclosed to the public yet. However, Jane Lynch told People that the decision was difficult as both of them cared deeply about one another. From the statement, it appears the former pair did not part ways on bad terms.
