• Jalyx was born on March 13, 2001, in Memphis, Tennessee, United States of America. He grew up in Florida before relocating to Maryland after some time. His full name is Jalyx Benjamin Hunt.
• Hunt was born to James Hunt and Jaaqua Hunt. His father, James, is a former Alcorn State and Mississippi State football player. Similarly, he also has an elder sister.
• His triathlon and long jump performances at the Junior Olympic Games in 2011 brought him Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) titles.
• The American national attended Dutch Fork High School in South Carolina and was a team member of varsity football as a freshman.

Jalyx Hunt Football Career At Cornell

The American football defensive end entered Cornell University in 2019 and began his collegiate career as a safety.

Hunt made three tackles in seven games while playing special teams and as a reserve safety. He made his college debut on special teams against Georgetown.

In the same way, Jalyx saw his first action at safety in the victory over Brown, making two stops on a special teams tackle versus Colgate.

Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic halted the gaming season in 2020. Therefore, he had to stay away from action for one full year. However, the football season returned with a bang in 2021, as did Jalyx.

The vibrant prodigy participated in all ten games and was credited with 26 tackles, a pass breakup, a fumble recovery, and a blocked kick.

In the season opener against VMI, Hunt recorded a career-high six stops and had four tackles versus Yale. Additionally, he had two tackles against Harvard while recovering a fumble and breaking up a pass.

Journey To Greater Fame With Houston Christian Huskies

Jalyx transferred to Houston Christian University in 2022 and began playing as a defensive end and linebacker for the Houston Christian Huskies.

In his debut season at HCU, Hunt started all 11 games and was selected to play on the Southland Conference’s second team.

In a similar vein, the American national tied for second place in the league in sacks (7), led the SLC in tackles for loss (11.5), caused fumbles (3), and was tenth in the conference in tackle totals.

Hunt completed his two-year stay at Houston Christian with 133 tackles, 20.5 tackles-for-loss, and 13.5 sacks. He was selected as the Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Year and an All-American upon his return in 2023.

What Does the Future Hold For Him?
