The vibrant prodigy participated in all ten games and was credited with 26 tackles, a pass breakup, a fumble recovery, and a blocked kick.

In the season opener against VMI, Hunt recorded a career-high six stops and had four tackles versus Yale. Additionally, he had two tackles against Harvard while recovering a fumble and breaking up a pass.

Journey To Greater Fame With Houston Christian Huskies

Jalyx transferred to Houston Christian University in 2022 and began playing as a defensive end and linebacker for the Houston Christian Huskies.

In his debut season at HCU, Hunt started all 11 games and was selected to play on the Southland Conference’s second team.

In a similar vein, the American national tied for second place in the league in sacks (7), led the SLC in tackles for loss (11.5), caused fumbles (3), and was tenth in the conference in tackle totals.

Hunt completed his two-year stay at Houston Christian with 133 tackles, 20.5 tackles-for-loss, and 13.5 sacks. He was selected as the Southland Conference Defensive Player of the Year and an All-American upon his return in 2023.
