Peter Laviolette is a renowned name in the ice hockey field. Born Peter Philip Laviolette Jr., he is a former player who currently works in the head coaching position for the Washington Capitals. His previous head coaching stints include Carolina Hurricanes, New York Islanders, Nashville Predators, and Philadelphia Flyers. He is one of the successful coaches in NHL history, who led three teams to the Stanley Cup Finals.

Peter shares a blissful marital life with Kristen. The couple met when he was coaching the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League. However, some of the sites suggest that he was playing for Providence at that time. Their first encounter took place in a Boston airport.
Kristen was working at the Delta Airlines counter, and the coach was the one who made a move. He asked for her number, but she did not give him. Instead, she took his number. Then, Peter told his teammate to get ready for a wedding as he had just met his wife. Mrs. Laviolette did call him, and eventually, the couple started their relationship.
Then, six months later, the duo got engaged and finally tied the knot in June 1996. The wedding itself is the most memorable event of their life. The couple had invited 250 guests to Kristen’s parents’ house in New England for their wedding reception. Then a storm hit, and lightning struck near the house, which jolted several people at the wedding.

Kristen Is A Proud Mother Of Three
Kristen and Peter have been enjoying their marital bliss for over 20 years now. In all these years of being a married duo, they have welcomed three kids together. On December 19, 1997, the couple became parents for the first time with the arrival of their son, Peter Laviolette III. Then, Peter Laviolette’s wife gave birth to their second child, Jack Laviolette, on May 15, 1999. Their youngest child is their daughter Elisabeth Rose Laviolette.

Furthermore, Kristen and Peter Laviolette’s children are all involved in sports. Their eldest son played in the NCAA Division III for Plymouth State University. He signed a contract with the Wheeling Nailers in September 2022. On the other hand, Jack played in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division II for Florida Gulf Coast University.
Likewise, Kristen Laviolette’s daughter plays with the Boston College Eagles women’s softball team. Kristen and her husband are proud of what their babies have achieved. Let’s hope they keep winning and bring more success home.

Who Is Peter Laviolette’s Wife?
As per Fabwags, Kristen was born Kristen Jean Hasenfus on July 10, 1975. She was welcomed by William Robert Hasenfus and Anne M. (Carchedi) Hasenfus. She grew up in Norfolk, Massachusetts, with her siblings William Robert Hasenfus Jr. and Paul M. Hasenfus.
Unfortunately, Kristen Laviolette’s dad passed away on February 11, 2021, after a heroic battle against Pancreatic Cancer, which was diagnosed in December 2019.
Furthermore, Peter Laviolette’s wife, Kristen, studied at International Air Academy. Regarding her profession, it remains a mystery. But, as mentioned earlier, Mrs. Laviolette worked at the Delta Airlines counter when the couple met for the first time. It is unknown whether she has started another job or is doing the same.
