She wore an off-the-shoulder, champagne-colored silk charmeuse Tadashi gown. $16,000 Mikimoto pearl-and-diamond tiara completed her princess look. On the other hand, the politician wore a black tuxedo, a white tie, and a stephanotis boutonniere with $15,000 Mikimoto pearl-and-white gold cufflinks.

Preceded by star-studded bridesmaids like singer Patti LaBelle, actress Patti LaBelle, and Mablean Ephriam, Ralph held her bouquet of orchids. Furthermore, 425 guests were present at the traditional Christian ceremony. The chapel was decorated in all-white flowers like orchids and lilies. Also, the aisle was decorated with white chiffon and pearl drape.
The function was not without its drama, Dr. Sandra Swann, Matron of honor, fainted as the vows began. But the remaining of the service went off without a hitch. The bride changed into a Tadashi silk peu de soire ivory halter dress. She wore a veil that her mom gave her.
