Laube entered the University of New Hampshire in 2018 and began as a running back for the New Hampshire Wildcats. He enrolled in the Kinesiology: Health and Physical Education program.
In 2018, Dylan played three games while redshirting as a true freshman at New Hampshire.
The following season, the American national finished with 1,372 all-purpose yards and five touchdowns, with 63 rushes for 285 yards, 28 receptions for 412 yards, and 29 kick returns for 675 yards in ten games.
Phil Steele added him to the second team of the Freshman All-Americans based on his performance. In the 2020 season, which was cut short by COVID-19, he had eight rushes for 33 yards and four receptions for 10 yards in one game.
