More Info On Alaska
Reid was born and raised in Park County, Montana, along with her four siblings. From the age of six till the age of 20, she practiced singing. She began taking classes at around six and continued until 20. At the age of 14, she began writing songs and playing shows at venues on the Sunset Strip, such as The Pig & Whistle, House of Blues, and The Viper Room.
Then, Reid formed a band called Alyeska. In April 2017, they released their first EP, Crush, which was John Agnello‘s production. In May 2019, Reid released Quake, her first single as a solo artist, and later in September 2019, Mermaid Tears. Furthermore, in March 2020, her next single, Amber, was released. She also contributed vocals to Alex Somers’ soundtrack for the special animated airing on Apple TV+ in April 2020.
Along with the release of her track Boys From Town in August 2020, Reid announced that she had signed with the independent label Terrible Records. Reid then released the Oblivion single, announcing her debut EP, Big Bunny. The two single releases of Big Bunny and Warm came before the release of Big Bunny EP in December, 2020.
Why Did She split From Her Self-Made Band?
Since her days at the Big Sky Songwriters Festival, Reid has been hard at work building a reputation for herself. She started by forming the band Alyeska. She ultimately made the decision to work alone and started the project that would eventually become Big Bunny. Moreover, when asked why she decided to go solo, Alaska stated that the band was fantastic and she gained a lot from it. The opportunities that the band provided for her were very significant to her.
However, the band was hers all along. She wrote every song, and on top of that, the tunes were hers too. The band was also becoming quite messy. Alaska stated that she initially formed the group because she believed she wasn’t taken seriously, a 15-year-old girl playing guitar. She reasoned that if she had a band supporting her, people would pay attention to her. The band was excellent, but by the time it was over, she was eager to resume her solo career and focus on her singing for the lyrics.

Cook, who is also her boyfriend. While co-producing the song City Sadness and Blood Ice, her lover wasn’t really involved.
However, while Alaska Reid’s boyfriend wasn’t producing a tune, he was still in charge of everything. Moreover, she further stated that it was great to understand his viewpoint on everything. She loves to work with him, and we look forward to hearing their more projects. Since she is working so hard for her future adventures, she must be planning, writing, and tuning more songs.
