Edward Leonard O’Neill, aka Ed O’Neill, is a popular figure in Hollywood. He is a famous American comedian and actor. The 75-year-old has won the Screen Actors Guild Awards four times for his comedic performances. Ed began his acting career in the movies in 1980 with Cruising. Since then, he has gone on to work on big films such as Finding Dory, Spartan, and Wayne’s World. Ed O’Neill’s wife Catherine Rusoff is the mother of his two daughters. The couple got married in 1986 after dating for a while. They met each other at the sets of Married… with Children.
The pair’s eldest daughter, Sophia O’Neill was born in August 1999, thirteen years after Catherine’s marriage to Edward. Similar to her parents, Sophia is an actress actively pursuing her career in the movie and fashion industry. She has worked in some movies like, On The Block II and An American Funeral. Furthermore, Sophia has also appeared in her father’s popular sitcom, The Morden Family.
Catherine and Ed O’Neill’s youngest daughter, Claire O’Neill, was born in 2006. She is seven years younger than her elder sister, Sophia. Unfortunately, the young princess of the O’Neill family has not been seen on the screen yet. But, we cannot leave out the possibility of Claire following her parents’ footsteps in the future.
Tumultuous Relationship In The Past
As mentioned above, the pair’s marriage has been in the limelight for different reasons. Just three years after their marriage, Catherine Rusoff and Ed O’Neill separated in 1989 living on their own. Fortunately, though, they reconciled after four years and got together in 1993. Maybe, the couple wanted to focus on their career and separated during that period.
