A Registered Nurse At Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
Shayne Gostisbehere’s girlfriend turned fiancée, Gina Valentine, currently serves at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, generally known as CHOP. Like Johnny Gaudreau‘s girlfriend, Meredith Morris, Gina is also a registered nurse at CHOP. While Morris works there in the NICU, Valentine works in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the moment.
Furthermore, the Connecticut-born Gina Valentine always knew that she wanted to go to the medical field. So, she joined Union College, where Gostisbehere also studied and played collegiate hockey. There, in UC, Valentine majored in Neuroscience in 2016.
Soon after graduating from UC, she moved to Philadelphia and enrolled in Jefferson’s College of Nursing. Valentine earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and soon joined CHOP, which was her dream. And she is happy with her career as a nurse.
Shayne Gostisbehere’s Girlfriend For More Than Half-a-decade Now
Gine Valentine and her soon-to-be husband, Shayne Gostisbehere have been together since 2014. Valentine mentioned on a podcast that she met Shayne while they were enrolled at Union College in 2014 via their mutual friends and started dating.
However, Shayne’s dream to be a successful ice hockey player did not let them stay together for long. Soon after their relationship started, Shayne left in his junior year to join Adirondack Phantoms. As for Valentine, she still had two years to complete her college. So, she stayed in New York while her boyfriend, Gostisbehere, played nationally.
Despite the fact that they were miles apart, the couple remained in a long-distance relationship. At first, Valentine went through a lot in her relationship. She used to travel nearly 5 hours from NY to see her love. But, due to Shayne’s busy schedules, they could meet only for few minutes. However, Gina understood her man’s business and supported him throughout it all.
Shayne and Gina remained in a long-distance relationship for two years. And, soon after graduating from UC in 2016, Gina moved to Philadelphia to live with Shayne. Ever since then, the couple is living together happily.
Engaged To Gostisbehere In 2020
The daughter of Mark Valentine and Theresa Spataro Valentine, Gina Valentine, got engaged to her long-time beau, Shayne Gostisbehere, in May 2020. Reportedly, Gostisbehere went on his knees to ask Valentine for marriage on a beach.
Shayne Gostisbehere’s girlfriend turned fiancée, Gina Valentine, shared the good news of them being engaged via her Instagram page. She posted a beautiful snap of them on the beach with a caption that said her last name was about to get a lot harder to spell.
Moreover, going through Valentine and Shayne’s social media pages, it looks like they have already tied their marital knot. In August 2021, Gina shared a string of pictures of her in a gown and Shayne in a black tuxedo. So, the pair might have already exchanged their wedding vows. Or, possibilities are their marriage is still pending, and those photos might be from their pre-wedding shoot.

Furthermore, Gostisbehere and Valentine are parents to three adorable pups, Cooper, Pippa, and Louie. They have even created an Instagram account for their three fur babies, which has over 6.8K followers at the moment.
Always Ready To Serve Her Community
The beautiful lady with a big heart, Gina Valentine, with her partner Shayne Gostisbehere, is always ready to give back to the community they are living in, Philadelphia. Though both of them are originally from another state, they currently call Philadelphia their home. And the Gostisbehere couple wants to do whatever they can to help their home state.
Back when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world in 2020, Shayne took to Twitter to share the news of a national shortage of N95 masks. He shared the news in the hope of getting more masks to provide them to the frontline heroes.
Possibly current Shayne Gostisbehere’s wife, Gina Valentine, a nurse at CHOP, was personally hit by the shortage of N95 masks. She reused the same surgical mask at work, storing it in a paper bag between her shifts. Thanks to her lover’s tweet, she and other hospital workers received masks in time.
Moreover, both Valentine and Gostisbehere are members of the Philadelphia Flyers organization. Every year around Christmas, they visit CHOP and spend quality time with the kids going through the worst times of their lives. In addition, the couple gives back to their community through various organizations as well.
Valentine and Gostisbehere serve their community via organizations like Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and Snider Hockey, Pennsylvania SPCA. Moreover, they also launched The GhostBear Foundation in 2017. Their organization supports ill and disabled kids as well as endangered or at-risk animals. Also, it assists other organizations working to motivate young athletes aspiring to have hockey careers.
Needless to say, Shayne Gostisbehere and Gina Valentine are amazing people and exemplary couples of the sports world. And while they have been together for half a decade, the beautiful pair still has the same love and support for one another.
