The coach first started working for the collegiate team as a graduate assistant coach in 1969 and has remained with them ever since. Boeheim has guided the Syracuse Orange through 34 NCAA tournaments and won the national championship with the team in 2003.

Boeheim met Juli at a horse race in Lexington during Kentucky Derby week back in 1994. After dating for two years, the lovers tied the knot on October 10, 1997. The married couple has been together ever since.

Although she is known more as Jim Boeheim’s wife, Juli is a successful executive and a generous philanthropist. The entrepreneur is known for co-founding the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation along with her husband. The charitable foundation seeks to provide support for the research for eliminating cancer and pursues to improve the lives of local children within the Central New York community.

As per The Daily Orange, the foundation has been raising around $100,000 every year for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, about $5 million for the American Cancer Society, and has raised $5,000-$25,000 for about a hundred other organizations per year.

Jim and Juli’s Son

Juli has given birth to three lovely children. The eldest child of the pair is a son named Jimmy Boeheim. The other two children are fraternal twins, son Jackson Thomas “Buddy” Boeheim and daughter Jamie Boeheim. All of the duo’s kids love basketball just like their father.

Juli Boeheim’s sons Jimmy and Buddy are on the Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team. As for the couple’s daughter, Jamie played basketball until her freshman year at the University of Rochester. However, it seems she no longer plays the sport and is aiming to become a mental health counselor.

Jim also has an adopted daughter named Elizabeth Boeheim. The coach adopted Elizabeth when he was still with his first wife, Elaine Boeheim. The duo split up in 1994 after being with each other for 18 years.

After three years of his divorce, Jim married Juli, who is twenty years younger than him.

Jim Boeheim’s Wife Was Robbed At Gun Point

It was reported that Jim Boeheim’s spouse was robbed at gunpoint in the Destiny USA mall parking lot in Syracuse. As per NBC News, Juli was sitting inside her car on March 1, 2022, when a young male approached her and started a conversation. He then pointed an “airsoft gun” at Juli and reached into her vehicle before stealing her purse and her phone. According to the Syracuse police, the offender then got into a stolen car with three other men and sped off.

A 12-year-old had been arrested on suspicion of being the culprit of the robbery after a week of the incident. The unidentified minor had been charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of a weapon in addition to second-degree robbery.

Although Juli was not injured, it must have been a terrifying experience for her to have gotten robbed at gunpoint. We hope Jim Boeheim’s wife, Juli, receives the justice she rightfully deserves and leads a safe and sound life ahead.
