The late wrestler was born on April 7, 1951, in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, United States of America. His real name was Michael Jones.

Virgil began professional wrestling in 1985 in the Championship Wrestling Association. He joined World Wrestling Entertainment, then known as World Wrestling Federation, in 1987. He also wrestled for the National Wrestling Conference, World Championship Wrestling, and All Elite Wrestling as well.

Michael was a one-time AWA International Heavyweight and AWA Southern Tag Team Champion. Similarly, he won the Million Dollar Championship in WWF and held the NJCW Heavyweight Championship once in his glorious career.

Virgil, a former WWE performer best known as the bodyguard for “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase in the late 1980s, has died. He was 61.

Jones has lived in Marianna, Pennsylvania, since 2018. On April 16, 2022, he announced that he had previously had two strokes and was diagnosed with dementia. A month later, he reported he was diagnosed with stage 2 colon cancer.

His longtime friend and ex-referee, Mark Charles III, announced the late wrestler’s death. He mentioned that Virgil died peacefully at the hospital on the morning of February 28, 2024.
