Hall initially played for the University of Georgia. In June 2021, during the 100-meter hurdles heat at the Olympic trials, Anna hit the eighth barrier and injured herself.

The Georgia Bulldogs athlete broke the navicular bone in her left foot, leading to her exit from the Olympics.

Later, Hall transferred to the University of Florida and helped the Florida Gators to win their first women’s NCAA Indoor team title in 30 years.

In July 2022, Anna Hall surpassed her heptathlon personal best by almost 300 points and won a bronze medal at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

This win made Hall the third-best female heptathlete in American history and set a new NCAA record. Later in August 2022, Anna signed a contract with Adidas and turned pro.
