Sir Peter Cook was born on October 22, 1936, in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. He studied architecture at Bournemouth College of Art from 1953 to 1958. After that, he enrolled in London’s Architectural Association School of Architecture and earned his degree there in 1960. His first ever job was at James Cubitt & Partners, where he co-founded Archigram, an architecture firm with five other architectures.

For instance, Sir Peter Cook RA received a royal gold medal. Queen Elizabeth II knighted A. G. Cook’s father for his contributions to architecture and instruction in 2007. In addition, he holds the titles of Commandeur de l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres of the French Republic and Royal Academician. In 2004, the Royal Institute of British Architects honored Alexander Cook‘s dad’s work with Archigram with the Royal Gold Medal.
A. G. Cook’s Father Served As The Director At British Pavilion
Cook’s dad served as the conservator of the British Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale and the director of the London Institute of Contemporary Arts. Moreover, Peter was appointed as the chair of architecture at the University College London’s Bartlett School of Architecture in 1990 and served till 2006. His exhibitions continue to be curated, planned, and held worldwide in Seoul, Los Angeles, Paris, the Design Museum in London, and many more.
Sir Cook holds professorships at the Royal Academy, University College London, and the Hochschule fur Bildende Kunste in Frankfurt-Main. He worked at CRAB with Gavin Robotham. Furthermore, in 2013, he finished building Australia’s newest architecture school, the Abedian School of Architecture at Bond University on the Gold Coast. Additionally, he constructed the new law faculty at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.
