Ian David McShane is an English producer, actor, and director born on September 29, 1942. He is well recognized for his television appearances, primarily as the star of the BBC sitcom Lovejoy. Over the years of his professional career, he has established himself as one of the most successful actors of all time.

Moreover, by the middle of the 1980s, her acting career was over. Following the divorce, she found it hard to sustain relationships and went into seclusion while battling alcoholism and depression. On the other hand, Suzan Farmer’s ex-husband moved forward in his life. He married Ruth Post from 1970 to 1970, where she suffered from infidelity as a result of his affair with Sylvia Kristel. Since August 1980, he has been married to Gwen Humble, and the pair seems to be going strong with each day’s passing. Furthermore, he leads a happy family, including his wife, his son, Morgan McShane, and his daughter, Kate McShane.

Suzan Farmer’s Early Life

Ian McShane’s ex-wife was born in Maidstone, Kent, as the daughter of metal merchant David Farmer and Eleanor Farmer (née Best). She was raised along with her brother, Michael Farmer, by two alcoholic parents in an unstable and violent household. Later on, the family eventually relocated to Bray in Berkshire. Their home location was now close to the Bray Studios that Hammer Flims production would later use.

Unfortunately, Suzan Farmer’s dad passed away when she was four, and she moved in with relatives. However, as per some sites, she was seven when her dad died, and even his company went bankrupt. Her brother went to boarding school and became treasurer of the Conservative party.

Furthermore, Ian McShane’s ex-wife left school at the age of 15 to pursue a career in the entertainment business. She then attended the Central School of Speech and Drama to hone her acting skills. Soon, she was flitting between television and movie roles.

Furthermore, the television shows that she appeared in are The Idiot (1966), The Caesars (1968), Out of the Unknown (1969), Thriller (1975), and Blake’s 7 (1978). For a month in 1978, she played a chiropodist on Coronation Street. She was a founding member of John Fraser’s London Shakespeare Group.

Overall, Suzan lived a very comfortable life despite getting divorced and losing the love of her life, which led to her depression.
