Country Singer Toby Keith Covel Dies At 62
The 62-year-old country artist, who topped the US album chart four times, passed away. He died peacefully on February 4, 2024, surrounded by family, according to a post on his website that also noted, “He fought his fight with grace and courage.”
Keith revealed in June 2022 that he had endured chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery during the previous six months after receiving a diagnosis of stomach cancer at the end of the previous year.
In a news statement issued in December 2022, Toby described his fight with cancer as pretty debilitating.

Survived By Wife And Children
Keith is survived by his wife, Tricia Lucus, whom he married on March 24, 1984. The couple had three children: two daughters and one son.
Shelley Covel Rowland, Krystal LaDawn Covel Sandubrae, and Stelen Keith Covel are his children. The family requested the public and media not to disturb them in this difficult time while announcing Toby’s death.
